Alternative 0844 Dialer.
As to give our customers ongoing support, we are supplying an 0844 dialer in cases of emergency, where you cannot connect at all to your Unmetered Access number (should be extremely unlikely, unless you go over your "Monthly Hours Limit" :see "Dail-up Access " link on the left.
It is recommended that you download the alternative_greenisp.ins file, download and instal as a backupl.

Dial-up Number: 0844 0557073
Username: localrate@greenisp
password: password

*please note to check afterwards that it is not set as your default dial-up connection. (In Network Connections/Dial-up/cancel as default)

Linux Support:
We do not officially support Linux, but we have tested Ubuntu, Red Hat v9 and Fedora Core1,2,3 and 4 and they are compatible with our Dial-up connectivity packages, we are currently testing Broadband/SDSL with USB modems, all routers are fine and work correctly.
Linux folk will know what to do.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR DIAL-UP MEMBERS:
If you are getting an authentication fault on the 0844 or Unmetered Dial-up service then your CLI
(your telephone number) may be withheld. If so, please "show" your CLI with the call by adding 1470 as a prefix or to the front seperating with a comma (i.e 1470, 0844 0557073)
